KIYOHARA MOFFITT was founded in 1987 by Ko Kiyohara, AIA and Gina G. Moffitt, AIA, LEED AP, to provide quality
architectural design services.
Gina Moffitt, the current sole principal, brings to the firm over 30 years of practice in Southern California, encompassing a broad range of project types including commercial, residential and interior design.
The firm has completed hundreds of thousands of square feet of office/retail tenant improvements, new office buildings, warehouse facilities, townhouses, speculative housing developments, award winning custom homes, and remodels and renovations to residential, commercial and civic buildings.
Kiyohara Moffitt is a 100% woman-owned business with a firm commitment to serving clients' needs, and which believes in adding value to a project through thoughtful programming, design and coordination, always placing the welfare and the interests of the owner as first priority.
As a result, the vast majority of the firm's projects have been and continue to be commissioned through client referrals.

GINA GILBERT MOFFITT, AIA, LEED AP, received her architectural degree, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California at Berkeley in 1976, and had been associated with several architectural and development firms in New York and California prior to forming Kiyohara Moffitt.
Moffitt's experience includes Project Management for a variety of project types such as custom housing, hotels, apartments (new, renovations, conversions), financial institutions, commercial and retail interiors. As principal of Kiyohara Moffitt she takes custom residential projects from concept design through construction administration, as well as assisting clients with interior design. A registered architect in the State of California since 1981, she is a member of the American Institute of Architects, is a LEED Accredited Professional and is NCARB certified.
LETICIA ACKERLEY received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Woodbury University in 1993. While in school and shortly after, she worked for a local interior design firm specializing in hospitality and restaurant work, prior to her being employed by Kiyohara Moffitt in 1995. Her responsibilities include project management of various residential projects from the preliminary design stage through construction documentation, coordination, and government agency approvals.
JESSICA UNGOS, the youngest member of Kiyohara Moffitt, has seven years of experience in commercial, residential and interior design. Jessica received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cal State Polytechnic University in Pomona in 2005. Her responsibilities include project design from preliminary through design development and construction documentation.
